Dear Fellow Residents of Davenport: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jennifer (Jenn) Olsen, a candidate for Alderman at Large in our next Davenport City Election, this November 6th, 2007. I am running for the Alderman at Large seat in order to promote a common sense approach to policy making in Davenport. I believe it is time to make basic services our priority. I believe that we need cooperation in Davenport, not confrontation. I believe there are common sense solutions for most of our problems, if we adopt and enforce policy that works, review and change what doesn’t work and assist our city employees in doing their jobs. I believe that the city needs to do a better job reaching, listening to, and cooperating with our neighborhood groups, schools, neighborhoods, churches and other organizations to work together to make our city a better and safer place for us to live. I believe in a holistic approach to policy making and decision making here in Davenport. Please join me by supporting my efforts to represent you on the next Davenport City Council.
